Hinge Security Caps

Hinge Security Caps come in two different types. The standard Security Cap is a regular StandOff cap with a hole drilled in the edge for tightening with a Security Cap Tool to reduce the possibility of removal by hand. The second type is a Security Cap Bolt with a thread shaft designed to pass through panels supported by other Gyford StandOff Systems™ hardware. It is a hex socket design that can be tightened with a hex key or allen driver for greater security.

When using the Secruity Cap Bolt through glass or plastics, a Vinyl Washer and Plastic Tube set in used to prevent thread contact with the glass or plastic that could cause chipping. A diagram of this set-up is found in the StructureLite Catalog on pages 121 & 123 and in the StandOff Catalog on page 11.
