History
Gyford Productions is the original sign StandOff designer and leading U.S.A. manufacturer of precision aluminum and stainless steel decorative mounting hardware, called Gyford StandOff Systems®. The company is focused on developing new and innovative products while incorporating style, clean lines, functionality and quality craftsmanship.
Founder Steven Gyford began his woodworking trades in London, England. Over the years he perfected his craft and knowledge in the tradeshow and museum building industry in South Africa and the United States. Steven ultimately moved his family to Reno, Nevada in 1988, where he and his wife, Valerie, opened the doors to Gyford Productions.
It was during the early years that Steven conceived the idea to produce new and sophisticated mounting hardware for the displays and exhibits he fabricated. The components had to be functional and provide options for mounting, layering and suspending artifacts, walls, shelving, graphics, and signage. New mounting hardware that would enhance his displays and represent the elegance, quality and respect of the materials and history they supported. The result was the first StandOff Cap and Barrel.
By 1991, Gyford Productions released their first catalog of StandOff products.
The company continued to expand their catalog and brand, which now offers
over 700 parts and assemblies called Gyford StandOff Systems®. All product lines feature an unmatched interchangeability of components, creating infinite design ideas.
Today, Gyford Productions remains a family business and proudly employs the finest skilled craftsmen and customer service staff. The company focuses on providing clients new products, large inventory, custom machining, finishes, materials, and unique colors to allow maximum versatility.
