In December of 2010, the team at Gyford Productions came together and adopted a family in need through The Children’s Cabinet of Reno. We called our mission the “Caring Tree”. We collected toys, books, clothing, household items and other useful gifts. It was such a phenomenal experience that we have done it again this year! Thank you to our team for making our family’s holiday dreams and wishes come true. We hope to have filled their hearts with love and caring during this giving time. Additionally, we reached out to our community by collecting food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, which helps feed hungry families in the Reno/Tahoe region. If you would like to help a family by donating gifts or food, you can visit childrenscabinet.org and fbnn.org.

New building signage was installed this month at Gyford StandOff Systems®. We are proud to share our new and improved look. Thank you to Julie's Sign Shoppe for doing such a great job with the sign fabrication and installation. Stay tuned for more building developments!

What are we celebrating? The growth of Gyford and our award winning team! Gyford recently acquired a neighboring 15,000 square foot facility to expand its operations in which we hosted our first “Gyford Grill” for employees. Our Client Solutions Specialists team participated in a vendor sponsored program, winning a monetary award in which they paid forward with a company-wide BBQ. Appreciative managers, serving spoons in hand, dished up finger licking food to great employees in Gyford’s new addition! Stay tuned for future updates and even more new developments at Gyford!

Parents interact with materials donated by Gyford StandOff Systems® to the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Early Head Start Program. The program provides high quality, comprehensive early care and education services to families living at or below poverty guidelines. Open-ended play materials provide opportunities for infants and toddlers to use their creativity and show how they understand their world. Play with these materials promotes problem solving skills, social skills, language skills, and integrates knowledge of math, science, and language arts.
